Evolution of a CEO
“What are you doing that puts you out of alignment with evolution?”
“What step could you take to put you more in alignment with evolution?”
We all have decision making criteria, tools, values, principles, beliefs or strategies we use to solve problems, decide on values and take action to improve our lives.
One of my fillers is evolution.
It has its flaws so I use it in conjunction with others but I like this one.
It’s the principle of putting the fish back in the water.
If I’m suffering in any way I can always find places where I’ve moved out of synk with an evolutionary need in some way.
In this way I find the size of the problem shrinks. The action becomes obvious and easy to take while guaranteeing benefit even if it doesn’t immediately solve the issue it always moves me closer to solving it.
Eg the body didn’t evolve to wear cushioned shoes, to sit in chairs, to look at screens, to consume processed food, to consume alcohol, to be exposed to light after dark.
There are loads more but you get the idea. It points me towards alterations I can make. I don’t need to be judgemental of my actions I just need to ask the questions, see what comes up and then ask what steps I’m prepared to make.
