There’s this husband and wife and they’re cooking dinner.
A lamb roast.
The woman pulls the lamb out of the fridge, slices the end off, seasons the meat and puts it in the oven.
Her husband has seen her do this many times but he’s never really known why so curious he asks her.
“Why do you chop the end off the lamb?”
She thinks for a moment and then replies
“I don’t know 🤷♀️”
My mum always did it.
Both curious now they call her and ask
“Mum, when you are cooking lamb, why do you always chop the end off?”
She thought for a moment and replied.
“I don’t know, my mum always used to do it.”
So they called her.
“Gran, when you used to cook lamb, why did you always chop the end off it?”
She said,
“Because my oven way too small to fit it in.”
This sounds crazy but we all do it.
We fear taking a day off.
We fear doing things a different way.
We know the boat is floating now but we don’t know exactly why so we change nothing
Most often half of our actions are unnecessary or unhelpful.
Working out which is a worth while way to use some time.
