How Minding Your Language Could Transform Your Life

[How Minding Your Language Could Transform Your Life]

If you were aiming for EXCELLENCE. And you were clear that excellence meant to improve upon what you did last time.

Would you then PAUSE, reflect on exactly what you did last time and decide on what would lead to excellence this time around and every other time after that?

Instead of racing ahead, trying to do exactly what you did last time while accepting more responsibility putting more pressure on yourself to work faster, faster, faster, driving your own stress and overwhelm.

If you had taken the time to define that OVERWHELM meant you had a lack of clarity around where to put your attention.
(Likely because we hadn’t decided on order of importance, action steps required and asked for any necessary of desired support.)

Would the feeling of overwhelm then cause you to PAUSE, prioritise, decide on best actions, ask for help and drop what just wasn’t possible right now?

If you had defined FRUSTRATION as, the realisation that you had inaccurately predicted the future.

Would you then PAUSE, reflect on that prediction and re-align your map of the world making your prediction more accurate and so your actions more effective in the future?

Our language guides our path through life, if we’re finding our path obscured by FEAR, pushing us in the opposite direction from where we wish to go.

It is an opportunity to PAUSE and RE-DEFINE what matters, what’s happening, and the truth of our situation.
