The power behind self care as a leader
When I’m feeling a bit run down like I have a bit of a mild cold there is a sort of chicken and egg moment.
I have a shave,
cut my hair
and then I KNOW it’s gone even if I still have some symptoms.
I think I probably feel a bit better first but the hair, the shave, some smart clothes
that’s what creates the leap forwards.
It’s not vanity,
it’s self care
When we look OUR best,
We feel our best
When we feel our best
We think our best
When we think our best
We act our best
The power of that is hard to measure
The better we feel
The better we can feel
When we feel better
We treat ourselves better
When we treat ourselves better
Our energy goes up
Our body becomes more toned
Our posture improves
We act how we want to act
We have created this funny idea about the inside and outside being non-representative or reflective of each other.
That’s rarely true.
Work on the inside and the outside and you feel better
Feel better
Act better
