6 Things My Most Successful Clients Are Doing That You’re Probably Not
Successful leaders seem to have more patience, more presence and more time.
They never seem in a rush or to be OVERWHELMED by business and life.
Ultimately the difference between the successful and the overwhelmed leaders is what they DO.
Below I have highlighted 6 major differences between my SUCCESS clients and struggling leaders I speak to.
1. My most success clients have a predictable, repeatable and enjoyable start to their day that physically, mentally and practically prepares them for the day.
Most people tend to grab their phone first thing and start their day reactive and distracted which sets the tone for the rest of the day.
2. My most successful clients have a system for reviewing and changing those behaviours that didn’t serve them today to guarantee they make daily incremental improvements.
Most people regret things they say or do but just leave it at frustration with themselves, guilt, and the hope they won’t do it again but sadly destined to repeat it.
3. My most successful clients don’t buy into their stress or anyone else’s. They now recognise that the current feeling is a product of the meaning the brain is currently focusing on. Because of this they are able to quickly find clarity and help others to do the same.
Most people buy into feeling and resort to unnecessary and often damaging actions or interventions.
4. My most successful clients have mastered not taking ownership of other people problems. They recognise that this way of operating both makes them a better leader and their team better performers who enjoy their work more.
Most leaders can’t help but keep ownership while also battling to pass ownership without understanding how and get caught in a loop of frustration.
5. My most successful clients have organisations that systematically play with failure seeing the opportunity within it to produce more and more with less and less time and effort.
Most leaders spend their time in frustration pointing to staff incompetence while taking more and more ownership over the work creating a bottleneck while also creating a stressed culture.
6. My most successful clients rest and detach in a way that allows them to see themselves as a whole person with family, friends, interests and humanity. It also allows them to switch off and recharge daily.
Most people remain attached, always available to their phones, engines always on, making them distracted and disengaged at home and creating health issues and difficulty sleeping.
There are more but LinkedIn has space restrictions. Perhaps I’ll list more in another post.
Do you recognise yourself in any of these?
