“What the hell are people doing with their businesses to make it so complicated?”
I was chatting to a client the other day, off the clock so to speak, a multi millionaire who’d built and sold some businesses
He was telling me about something that genuinely puzzled him. He’s a humble guy confused by his fame.
His question or confusion was basically
“What the hell are people doing with their businesses to make it so complicated?”
....
There are people scratching their heads at your struggle (mine too)
I remind myself of this every time I am struggling with something so many others are not.
People less intelligent, less disciplined, people with fewer resources, people who started out behind in life.
[Over 60% of the 500 most successful people of all time either had a neurological disorder or lost a parent early on although a similar stat is true of people in prison]
Fat loss, relationships, business, happiness, leadership, skill mastery, what ever
Of course you could take this two ways.
The first way is that you are weak, useless, and don’t rule that out too quickly 🙂
The second is that you have habits that push the success you’re looking for away from you.
Option two sound more likely... that’s the one I’d choose anyway.
The change that’ll change everything is tucked away in your beliefs, your perceptions of how the world is or often that simple habit that you’ve downgraded in importance because you don’t want to do it.
Thin people are often confused by overweight (some even aggressively, accusationally - that’s how confused they are)
Successful people are often confused by unsuccessful
Good leaders are often confused by bad ones
I’m not saying it’s nature, that’s negligible in most cases...
I’m saying at some point during nurture they had beliefs and habits installed that made their behaviours so obvious that they were invisible to them.
And THAT is the place to look not in nonsense hacks or short cuts or gearing yourself up to put in even more effort THIS time around.
What are you doing that is pushing your success away from you?
Honestly, sit with that question and you’ll get an answer. Something you could fix.
