What if meditation doesn't work for you as a CXO/CEO

Are you one of the many that meditation hasn’t worked for?

You've probably been told that meditation if THE answer to stress and overwhelm

Yet most people I speak to have experienced something completely different. Perhaps you have too, I know I have. What they experienced is that meditation was just another addition to a seemingly endless to do list. That sitting and attempting to calm their mind served only to highlight their stress while taking away the time they had to make some progress on that list. It just highlights another place in you’re life where you’re failing.

I should be clear, I’m not down on meditation, far from it. But there is a clear and simple reason that this approach didn’t work. See the reason for the stress and overwhelm IS a highly reactive mind. BUT it is reactive due to the meaning that the brain has unconsciously attached to the current environment and everything in it across your whole life time.

Meditation is an awesome tool and long term strategy for widening the gap between stimulus and response.

But defining, refining and aligning the meaning of everything in the environment (the stimulus) is the primary skill you must master and task you must undertake in order to create a new and more useful perception of the current environment in order to approach it more skilfully and remove the stress and overwhelm.

From that state meditation is easy and highly effective.
