Meditation won't fix everything when you're stressed - what will?
Telling somebody who’s stressed and living on adrenaline and hustle to meditate is just a fancy way of saying relax or even, calm down.
It’s like, “Great, problem solved, thanks for the great advice. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of that.”
As advice it’s patronising, unhelpful and ignorant.
That’s not to say that meditation won’t form a part of the eventual long term strategy, it might.
But if you’re currently not feeling calm and relaxed it’s unlikely to be because you’re totally incapable of the state and far more likely that there are many things in your world, too many perhaps, that require your attention.
In fact part of what we’re demonstrating with stress, hustle and adrenaline is that TIME is a big factor.
Either we don’t have enough or there isn’t enough of ME to do all the things that need to be coordinated into a particular time window in order to achieve what’s necessary.
Offering any solution that requires the consistent application of MORE time be it meditation, exercise or even a bit more sleep is often an impossible ask without down prioritising something else.
If we’re in this situation in the beginning we have to focus on discovering and removing those actions that either don’t add value or actually increasing the stress while costing time.
Discovering the words and even thoughts that lead to behaviours like staying up late, drinking to calm down, waking in the night or otherwise struggling with being mentally present.
That is to say we want to REALISE (make real) achieving what we current are (and more) without the accompanying stress, adrenaline and hustle that our brain has learned MUST go with it.
Only then, once we have experienced it, is it possible for our brain to see that their might be a better way. A way to achieve more with less. (Something we all believe in theory)

Only then it is time to discuss the routines and rituals that will help to get the very best focus, energy and performance out of us.
I honestly didn’t plan for this to be a pitch but it looking to be building that way and I see it as my obligation to share it when I know the impact it has.
