We could start seeing overwhelm as a good thing…
We could start seeing overwhelm as a good thing…
We don’t of course.
We don’t because overwhelm comes with a negative prediction of the future.
The next rock placed in our back pack will be the one the tips us over and stops us from getting back up again…
God! We’re so dramatic when we’re overwhelmed.
That was Emil’s situation when we started going through my REWIRE programme together.
Emil was a co-founder in to a rapidly growing start up.
The learning curse was incredible and ultimately our way of approaching the world is created by the challenges that we have faced head on across our lives.
To grow a start up is to invite challenges at an incredible rate and often to not have time to reflect and create new systems of thinking.
Overwhelm then in an indicator of external growth as well and a the willingness to face it.
At this point, the point of overwhelm Emil had two choices.
Either scale back
Or create internal growth to be able to put down the overwhelm, re-evaluate processes and then seek the overwhelm once again
He chose the latter and couldn’t be happier that he did.
The business has QUADRUPLED in monthly revenue in the last 12 months along with his responsibilities.
WITHOUT the accompanying experience of overwhelm.
