Psychological safety does not mean what you think as a CEO

Psychological safety does not mean;

Absence of conflict
Absence criticism
Not highlighting failure
Not challenging consensus

In fact the absence of criticism, conflict, highlighted failures and presence of unchallenged consensus is the surest sign that there is little psychological safety.

Is psychological safety important?

It is if you want inspired, passionate, engaged, fulfilled, purposeful, hard working, people who feel valued, part of something, autonomous and who own their work.
