3 characteristics GREAT leaders have
3 characteristics GREAT leaders have that MOST don’t
They have the humility to recognise that the same person can show up as
Defensive, reactive and incompetent or Proactive, skilful and responsible
And that which they show up as is not who they are but a measure of the certainty, safety and clarity they have in their life right now.
Great leaders know that it is their job to support them to that certainty, safety and clarity so they can show up as the responsible, proactive person they are.
They have the awareness to recognise that a leaders quality is measurable by the number of leaders they create.
This means they place focus on ensuring their team has the clarity they need to lead themselves.
They see that constantly being asked for help is an indicator of a lack of clarity NOT lack of intelligence.
They recognise the error of believing that success is a product of time and effort. Instead they know that success is a product of process.
The result is that they don’t even see failure as failure, they empower their teams to observe how they get the best out of themselves to support constant improvement.
The truth is that MOST leaders have humility, awareness and even the knowledge that process creates success. MOST understand the principles.
But the GREAT leaders have a set of practises that make those principles operational in the company.
Do you?
