Well, as much as it may feel like it, our eyes don’t actually see, ears don’t heart, mouth doesn’t taste, nose doesn’t smell and our skins
doesn’t feel.
They pull in a mess of data and some how that spongy lump in our heads that has never seen the light of day interprets that data.
This data is a mental simulation of the world
based on our interpretation of our experiences.
The brain imagines
The imagination informs the nervous system.
The nervous system causes physical adaptations to prepare for the world.
