I took a gamble when I first moved to Denmark

I’d developed a hypothesis over the 6 months before moving that needed testing in the real world.

I had noticed something through the ebbs and flows of my gyms and health care business.

It seemed like when I was playing, having fun and really focusing on mine and my clients and my teams experience IN the business that there seemed to come with it a sort of effortless growth and expansion.

Conversely it seems that when I was doing all of the RIGHT things, the outreach, the social media, the flyers, the offers, and pushing hard on what was most important to measure and manage in the business growth still came but not in the same way.

It felt laboured and perhaps didn’t always attract our ideal clients and felt boring and tedious.

What I wanted to learn was, if rather than work to eventually create an extraordinary life as we are taught to do.

I created an extraordinary life BEFORE inviting work in if that would create an extraordinary work life too filled with

Clients I loved spending time with
Who get great results
Low frustration and lots of laughs
Consistent payers who stay for long term
Great referrers
Who lend me their holiday homes (hint)

All because I refused to lower my own standards and live a life less than the one I had already created for myself?

Honestly I didn’t just make the decision and stick to it.

There have been ups and downs but I’ve observed that this philosophy consistently plays out in my life and in the lives of my clients too.

Paddle boarding, playing basketball with friends, having friends over from the Uk, reading, relaxing, walking in the wood and spending time in nature, meeting new people, spending loads of time with my family, travel.

When I stop all that or neglect it my business suffers too.

When I create and live a life I love business thrives too.

Happiness, freedom, fun, and fulfilment aren’t just nice to have they are a deeply practical strategy for business too.
