My morning routine or how a stop my day being reactive

My morning routine or how a stop my day being reactive

Ok, so I better start by telling you the weirdest bit because my clients take the piss out of me for it.

I wake up, from having slept on a thin top mattress on the floor.

We’re over a month into this and feeling great for it. I like to experiment!

1 - I drink a litre of mud water. It’s an absorption thing. It gives me more energy, I’m less thirsty and I don’t need to pee at night - all wins for me.

2 - I journal, that’s setting intentions and tasks for the day, reviewing values and challenging myself with questions about what’s holding me back or stopping me being who I want to be.

3 - I lie down and do 12 minutes of breathing exercises. I treat this as sort of active meditation. I get more from it than I did meditation and it really sits me inside my body and energises me.

4 - I do a few neurological drills that improve mobility, balance, coordinations and again ground me in my body. Then I’ll do a short but intense workout. Sometimes body weight sometimes kettlebells - rarely will I do more than 5 minutes.

That’s it.

When I’m way more present all day and tend to fulfil what I set out to.

Then it’s onto getting the kids ready while having a coffee and chatting.

I don’t eat until lunch time or the evening meal accept weekends or if I’m cooking for clients which is getting pretty common these days.

Do you have anything you do in the morning that makes you more likely to have a good day?
