Make or break

That's what it feels like anyway,

I've earned money since I was about 10, nothing major to begin with.

Car washing pulled in about £200 a month, carol singing about £50 a night but that was pretty seasonal.

Then there was the 'soccer school' I ran with a mate.

One Saturday we pulled in £400 big bucks at 15.

The truth is that from a very early age I have made my own money, not through an overwhelming desire for money, but a strong need to not be reliant upon others.

To have the freedom to choose what I do and how I do it.

I have had very few proper jobs in my time and even fewer that went well.

Although this trait has some positives it also resulted in things like my being resistant to being taught all the way through school.

Over the last few weeks I've been the student, a student for directions, and grocery shopping and things I need to know.

Simple things.

I've been heavily reliant upon strangers knowing my language and choosing to use it.

Although that's been tough it also shown me how much people really want to help,

How fulfilling people find it when they get to teach or get to be of assistance because they possess a knowledge that someone else doesn't.

Trust it seems is most quickly built through vulnerability - by giving your trust first.

A lesson I'm overdue learning when my instinct is to be the teacher.

There's a lot more to come as I start to learn the language too.

Today I've purchased 2 more incorrect blinds which takes me up to 4.

I have put the tv up, shower rail, and we now have internet!

I'm really looking forward to getting into
working a bit more.
