I built a trampoline for the girls and then buried it into the ground today...

* to level it not to spite them 😀

I'm not really a DIY super star so the lack of instructions didn't really help.

Presumably as Danes were basically born building Ikea furniture and lego toys they don't require something as demeaning as instructions.

What I am willing to do is try my best, stand back and look at what I've done, adjust, then keep going until I've achieved the desired result.

This trampoline was built more quickly than the last and the next will likely be quicker again.

This,

In a nutshell,

Is ALL it requires to be success in anything, as I clumsily discovered, mistake after mistake.

It's:

The willingness to try.

The willingness to suck.

Discarding expectations of how long the process will take.

The willingness to keep going until you achieve the desired result.

All the other stuff.

Like what other people might think of us because of how bad we are, or how long we took, is the story told by everyone who didn't get the result.

Otherwise they'd have it.

ALL those who did get the result either stopped telling that story long enough to get good at it, or decided they wanted IT more than they cared what people thought.

There is no such thing as fear of failure, only fear of judgement.

That IS real, but it's not something we have to let stop us.

So say what you like about my DIY skills.

I'm better than I was. ðŸ˜‚
