One foot in the future

"Are you excited?" I've frequently been asked and my most consistent answer has been, not yet.

It's both difficult and not particularly smart to try and focus on the sunset while juggling.

That's where we have been for the last few months, juggling everything that needs to happen here to allow a smooth exit.

Once you are aware of your goal it just doesn't help you to keep looking at it. It's the surest way to make sure you drop the ball.

Anyway, yesterday was our first future planning day.

The branding of my wife's business Mums Get Fit.

I love branding but I think people often get it backwards.

They decide on who their ideal client is and then work out what colours and message attract and appeal to them and then end up bending over backward to serve them.

They end up with a nightmare life and a nightmare business.

I know cos I've been there.

But when you flip it around,

Map out your values and beliefs and purpose and vision of the world.

You create a dream you
With a dream message
Which leads to a dream client
To a dream business
To a dream life.

We attract what we are.

When we know and show the dream version of ourselves we attract people who resonate with that.

That's not a woo woo new age concept.

We all have people we love to be around and we love to be around them because we feel like we are the best version of ourselves around them.

The more clear we are on who that best version is the more consistently we can show it and the more consistently people we love to spend time with show up.

We are all branding ourselves.

If your life or your business doesn't reflect who you love to be then perhaps you need to work on clearer branding.
