That's it then, we are off

We are currently being chauffeur driven to Heathrow for an evening in a nice hotel before we fly off tomorrow morning.

We could have taken the train.
We could have flown tonight.

What we chose to do wasn't significantly more expensive.

(Thanks Rebecca)

But it is significantly more simple, relaxing, and fun.

There are two things to consider when trying to get from a to b:

The result and,
The experience

We've likely added 20% extra time and cost to our journey...

We have also removed the struggle and frustration of getting 7 suit cases and hand luggage to the train station.

We have removed the exhaustion and emotional fall out of our daughters being awake and traveling long after bed time.

We have removed the challenge of arriving at our new home without furniture and sleeping on air mattresses.

If anything was going to make us question our decision it would be a painful journey.

We all have places we want to get to,
Less body fat
Improved performance
More business success
More fitness

We look to the result and then work out the shortest route.

We forget that a great experience is the thing most likely to make the formula something we wish to repeat.

We forget that we don't really define time by what the clock says, we define it by how much we are enjoying ourselves.

Set goals by all means,
But before you start, ask yourself,

What would make this more fun?

Au revoir!
(I'll get the Danish soon)
