Why Working Harder will Never Produce the Desired Outcome

It didn’t work last time, it didn’t work this time and it won’t work the next time

In fact it doesn’t matter how many times you try, how fast you come out of the gate or how much you decide you want it this time.

Doubling down on a failed strategy is never going to produce success.

Forcing new ACTION into an already overwhelmed schedule will NEVER create, uh... whelm.

Don’t get me wrong. ADDING in the diet, the meditation, the exercise, the yoga or what ever system it might be that promises to finally create that feeling of grounded presence and energy, are all powerful strategies.

But they are NOT the first step if you find yourself in this position, they are more like the 13th or 14th step.

I get it, if you feel like you’re living reactively and constantly being pulled out of the moment it makes total sense to add in meditation that has been proven to improve attention and focus.

And if your energy levels are up and down then adding in exercise is the logical approach to take to fix it.

But overwhelm and low energy are EFFECTS of an already present CAUSE. They are the evidence of a flawed and already existing process.

If the factory is producing faulty goods then going harder and faster is just going to introduce more stress into an already broken system while distracting from the actual problem.

Meditation or exercise are the equipment upgrades. The first steps are to identify, isolate and eliminate what’s current NOT working.

They are the hidden glitches that our brain hides from our awareness, because our approach IS pretty good. It’s allowed US to achieve ALL of THIS.

But the question is, given the current reality of your life right now is your current approach The BEST approach for you?

Of course if EVERYTHING is progressing nicely, with deep and strong relationships, a smoothly operating company, and you’re fit as a butchers dog then you may well answer yes to that question?

But if you’re experiencing effects that you no longer wish to experience then the first step to creating something different, something better is to start doubting your current approach.
