I get over taken a lot these days

riding a huge bike carrying daughter and school stuff isn't really conducive for racing.

I used to notice something similar in business.

I would feel like I was being over taken by people travelling lighter.

What are they doing?
What do I need to change?

Now I've been cycling every day for about 7 weeks I started to notice something.

Some people turn off, they aren't going where I'm going.

Some people burn out and end up behind me.

Some, they get there before me of course but they aren't anything to do with me, I don't know anything about them.

When I look at what I'm doing though, I'm not tired or out of breath.

I've listen to 6 books since a started.

I'm really enjoying the ride.

My averages journey time has gone from 40 minutes to 32 minutes.

And yesterday, when it rained heavily all the way in. I just kept doing my thing.

Unstoppable.

The urge to compete,
The wondering what others are doing,
The worrying about the conditions,
The thinking about the advantages others have,

They aren't for us,

They are just a distraction.

Getting in your grove and doing your simple thing, that moves you forward, for your reasons.

That's what creates progress and growth and certainty and enjoyment.
