They Told me I was Arrogant, that Hurt
I’m fat so I’ll act like I think a fat person would.
I’m a loser so I’ll act like a loser would.
We enter into a never ending spiral of self hatred or something.
Really what we’re looking at is a flaw in the English language.
We can’t actually BE any of those things.
How to stop caring what people think
I could say what I want to say to my boss or my employees without fear of what they might think.
I could dance like nobody was watching and single like nobody is listening.
And a million other things.
Some even hold it up like a badge or a flag they climbed up a mountain to plant.
“ I don’t care what anyone thinks!”
What I love about a crisis or the 5 things we need now more than EVER
Okay, first and foremost I am not making light here. I’m not suggesting that I am happy about what has happened. Neither am I suggesting that no businesses have fallen victim to the current or future side effects or what’s happening at the moment.
However, there were 5 things that were important before this that have now significantly increased in importance and that I believe is a good thing.
In fact they were ALWAYS the most important things but now and going forward their consequences will result in more rapid and undesirable feedback.
You don’t have low self-esteem, you just attached your esteem to the wrong thing…
Imagine this. A three-year-old girl returns home from nursery one day with a piece of artwork she has created.
Mum and dad take the piece of artwork, look at it, and say "wow, that's amazing, I love it, I'm so proud of you. come here give me a hug. You are just brilliant”.
